Electronic Tap Music Comes To Nashville

‘Tis the season to get out and do what you love. And what better way to kick off the festive month of December than to enjoy some top-notch culture at OZ Arts Nashville?

MUST SEE SHOW: Dorrance Dance | ETM: Double Down

WHEN: December 9-10, 8PM

WHERE: OZ Arts Nashville

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT: Michelle Dorrance is one of the most creative choreographers in the game, constantly exploring the historic origins of tap dance in her pieces and putting them in a social context.

(You might recognize Michelle from her recent appearance on The Late Show, where she taught a few a moves to Stephen Colbert and his audience).

For this special Nashville performance, Michelle and her crew will be droppin’ electronic beats with their very own feet. The talented cast makes “ETM” (that’s “electronic tap music”) and serves up some of the most inventive choreography Nashville has ever seen.

The New York Times puts it this way: “…[A] fresh and innovative show…the distinction between dancer and musician, between electronic and acoustic, fades…When “ETM: Double Down” is rocking, Dorrance Dance is one big band.”

Michelle Dorrance in her own words:

In sum,  if you need a cultural breather from the endless window shopping, this world-class Nashville experience is for you.

It’s perfect for impressing a holiday date, treating visiting relatives to a night on the town, or simply getting together with friends for a post-shopping night-out.

Find tickets HERE and get ready to be amazed. For these dancers, all the world’s a stage, and the stage is their instrument.
